WHAT IS THE SWIFTLIFT REGENOUVEAU™ PROCESURE?

The SwiftLift RegeNouveau™ service utilizes a surgical procedure which uses a minimal access incision in front of the ear to insert a permanent purse-string suture which attaches to the bone in front of the ear. This is the strongest structure in the face and allows a long-lasting lifting of the tissue of the midface, jowls, and upper neck when tightened. The correction is especially noticeable for the jowls and the marionette ("drool") lines. Your skin will continue to age but you will never again have the sagging you had before your surgery.

WHAT THE SWIFTLIFT REGENOUVEAU™
PROCESURE IS NOT.

A SwiftLift RegeNouveau™ Procedure is not the minilift which tightens the skin only. It tightens the deeper structures of the lower face which assures a long -lasting result. It is not a procedure which addresses problems of the brows, eyelids, or wrinkles in those areas. Additional procedures may be performed including: eyelid surgery, forehead lift, chemical peels, laser resurfacing or BOTOX.

This procedure will improve the jowls, the marionette ("drool") lines and the upper neck. Marionette lines are the deep lines that run from the corner of the mouth to the chin and are difficult to eliminate with standard procedures.

HOW IS A SWIFTLIFT REGENOUVEAU™ PROCEDURE DIFFERENT FROM THE STANDARD FACELIFT?

A SwiftLift RegeNouveau™ Procedure differs from a standard facelift in several ways: the incision for a The procedure is about one half the length of a regular face lift incision. The incision behind the ear is very little if any incision is necessary behind the ear. The facial tissues descend vertically with aging due to gravity. This procedure replaces these tissues in a vertical direction as opposed to the standard facelift which pulls toward the ear. We feel the end result with this procedure is more natural. SwiftLift RegeNouveau™ Procedure gathers the tissues with a permanent non palpable suture and fixed to the bone in front of the ear. Stretching and relapse are almost impossible. A standard facelift uses sutures which are attached to other soft tissue. Stretching and return of tissue to its original position is much more likely. There is less surgery with a SwiftLift RegeNouveau™ Procedure . Recovery is faster and more comfortable.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS?

Any surgical procedure carries risks and they are thoroughly discussed prior to surgery. There is some risk of scarring but Dr. Capriotti is an experienced cosmetic surgeon and will make every effort to hide these incisions and make them inconspicuous. They should be hard to find after a few months. Bleeding and infection are possible but uncommon. They are handled if they arise and usually result in no permanent damage. Slight numbness is always temporary. Hair or skin loss can occur but are less common than with a standard facelift.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE AND WHEN SHOULD I CONSIDER THIS PROCEDURE?

When you look in the mirror and notice how much your starting to look like your mother- you're a candidate. When you look in the mirror and your eyes immediately go to those deep lines around your mouth, your jowls, or that gathering skin under you chin- you're a candidate. When you friends or coworkers start saying you look like you need a vacation, and you don't have another one for 11 months- you're a candidate. When the ticket taker at the movies asks if you want a senior ticket- and you're 45- you're a candidate!
